Business Development Manager/Director

      We are looking for a qualified individual to lead the corporate Business Development function. Your role will be supporting management by finding, evaluating, and concluding contracts covering new business opportunities such as out-licensing, in-licensing, research and development collaborations, joint ventures, mergers, and acquisitions that are in keeping with the corporate strategy of the Company.


      Duties and responsibilities:

      • Establish technical and business credibility, and develop relationships with potential partners
      • Apply technical and business knowledge to present an attractive value proposition to potential partners
      • Establish a global contact list of and maintain good relationships with, the leading companies in the pharma/biotech industry, understand their needs and report to management in real-time in order to improve the Company’s business development offering in keeping with corporate objectives
      • Prospect for new business opportunities, qualify leads, and generate a strong opportunity funnel and manage the conversion of opportunities to signed contracts
      • In collaboration with management, create slide presentations, teasers, social media postings, and other marketing materials to support the business development objectives
      • Understand and demonstrate sufficient expertise in scientific and business topics related to targeted protein degradation and the Company’s drug discovery and development programs to credibly present the company at business meetings
      • Deliver effective scientific/technical/business presentations in English
      • Create and execute plans to meet assigned business objectives
      • Provide regular updates on progress toward meeting assigned objectives
      • Organize and participate in company visits, trade shows, and conferences
      • Manage the Company’s external advisor network (lawyers, business, financial, and scientific consultants, etc. in order to close deals in the most effective way


      • Degree in biology, chemistry, or related fields
      • 5 years of experience in business development in drug discovery and development
      • Extensive contacts within the pharma and drug discovery industry
      • A track record of achievement in deal-making (deal sheet)
      • Good understanding of the deal-making process, negotiations, contracts, and drug discovery science
      • Exceptional presentation skills in English (not necessary to be a native English speaker)
      • Good business development, marketing, and customer relationship skills
      • Professional, enthusiastic, confident, and a self-starter
      • Good communication skills including verbal, and written
      • Highly adaptable and independent, take the initiative and have a growth mindset
      • Strong desire to win business and close deals
      • Flexible on location, but regular presence in Wrocław required
